This webinar will primarily serve as a refresher on Part 7 Affordable Care Act Market Reforms. Topics will include Summary of Benefits and Coverage, Claims and Appeals Processing, Patient Protections Provisions, and a summary of laws contained within Part 7. There will also be discussion of the types of health arrangements that are or are not subject to Part 7 Affordable Care Act Market Reforms and a brief mention of related health regulatory guidance updates.

Christyona Pham has been a Benefits Advisor for the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) since August 2016. Ms. Pham is part of EBSA's Office of Outreach, Education, and Assistance (OEA). OEA administers the Participant and Compliance Outreach, Education and Assistance Program. One aspect of the program is providing participant and compliance assistance directly to the public by answering inquiries and complaints received by phone, mail, electronically or in person. Prior to starting as a Benefits Advisor, Ms. Pham was a student intern for EBSA. Ms. Pham obtained her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Missouri in 2012 and her J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 2016.
