Weight Loss Drugs
Join us Thursday, April 18th for a discussion of GLP-1 - weight loss drugs - what they are, how they started, interchangeability and shortages, and the challenges carriers and employers are having in adding these drugs to their benefit plans.
Our speaker will be TRUDY THEDFORD, RPh, Area Vice President - Central Region and Pharmacy Market Director at Cigna. Her past experiences include client facing roles as a member of the Cigna Pharmacy Sales and Account Management Team. Prior to Cigna, she worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, where she was a Clinical Pharmacist-Marketing Liaison. Trudy also held the position of Director of Infusion Therapy where she managed specialty infusion operations across multiple locations and supported PBM client meetings for infusion consultation as well as program development initiatives.
In addition to her managed care background, Trudy has extensive clinical experience in a variety of settings including long-term acute care, specialty pharmacy, compounding operations management, and retail. In all her roles, she enjoys partnering with other health care professionals and leading patient management initiatives.
Trudy received her B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Buffalo, School of Pharmacy, and a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing from State University of New York at Fredonia, NY.
- One hour of CE credit in Missouri and SHRM credit are available. Kansas CE credit is pending. Only 2024 members are eligible to receive the CE credits.
